Meet Our Team

Our RightTern team is responsible for all day-to-day operations of our business including but not limited to marketing, accounting, outreach and sales.

We are united by our goal to make marketing more accessible to small businesses, and work experience more accessible to students.

Co-founder & Operations Lead

James Vernon

I’m a Business Management with a Year in Industry student at the University of Liverpool. I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, startups, and learning through practical experience. RightTern gives me the opportunity to apply what I learn academically while helping build something with real-world impact.

As a Co-Founder of RightTern, I lead validation and outreach. I spend my time speaking with founders and businesses, gathering feedback, and understanding their challenges. This helps ensure we’re building a solution that addresses real needs and creates value for the people we aim to serve.

What excites me most about RightTern is the opportunity to help both students and businesses. We aim to give students meaningful paid experience while helping businesses get important work done. Building something that creates value for both sides is what motivates me most.

Co-founder & Technical Lead

Anna Clayton

I'm studying International Business Management at the University of Liverpool, with a passion for finance, entrepreneurship, and creative problem-solving. Co-founding RightTern has given me the opportunity to build a business from the ground up, shaping strategy, driving growth, and turning ideas into reality.

As Co-founder and Technical Lead of RightTern, I control financial planning and analysis, project oversight and communications with our student community, and influence our operation’s direction to ensure they are aligned with our mission. I translate vision into execution by tracking metrics and aligning product, people, and budget to drive sustainable growth.

What excites me most about RightTern is how our platform can benefit both students and businesses simultaneously, with students engaging in real, paid work that shapes their future careers, and businesses getting talented people to help them move forward.
